MRL Performance is currently working on a Grass Roots Dirt Track/Late Model engine. We believe that our design is better than the competition and we are going to prove it. More info will be posted as this engine program progresses.

Done and ready for the Dyno
Well the Dyno is done on this engine. And we found some interesting things. First off we could not get this engine to start and run at all on the Mass Flow EFI system. We checked and re-checked everything, but no go. And we could not get any Tech help from them at all. Bummer. So we strapped on a BIGS Performance 950 stage 5 and we were good to go. We made about 20 pulls on this beast. We did not hit our intended 600hp, but we can real close.

It made
575hp @ 6100rpm-  570+hp from 5800-6300rpm

550tq @ 4500rpm-  540+tq from 4400-5300rpm NICE!

After all the runs were made on the carb, we decided to try the EFI one more time and see if we could get it to run. I found a loose wire in the Mass Air Flow sensor when we put it on the second time and Bam it fired up. We tried to give this EFI all the time it needed to Learn itself. Made a few runs and almost killed the engine in the process. It would run real lean at 5800rpm and start to go into detonation real bad. So we quite while we were ahead. With no Tech help, our hands were tied on this one. And it was off in power vs the carb by 30HP/TQ
Short Block Done. Pistons Set to .010" Above deck
Checking for proper rocker ratio and pushrod length
We will be debuting our Circle Track engine at the Mopar Muscle Magazine Engine Challenge this year. See it in person at the Mopar Nationals at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio August 13-15!
